TONIC UNITED

Yan & Ghyslain, the co-founders of tonic, have always encouraged giving and helping others. They send a small amount of money each month to each member of the tonic family, which allows them to donate to the charity of their choice.

For several months now, beauticians, stylists, colorists and receptionists have successively donated to the DIS-MOI organization, to gofundme, to the David Suzuki foundation, to the Montreal SPCA, to several stray cat rescue associations, etc.

Driven by these donations, several of the members of tonic have set up a system of free haircuts for hospitality workers, the unemployed since the beginning of the pandemic, two of our artists in particular prepared 40 sandwiches for the homeless and it's not over!

100 cuts given to CHUM staff

We'd like to tell you about our 100 haircuts for the staff at the Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM).

Hospital staffers were amongst the  most affected by the pandemic and we wanted to thank them in our own way: by offering 100 of them a free haircut and all the others a gift from tonic. In the two photos, Audrey, a psychiatric social worker, and Miguel, a nurse and unit leader, both got their hair done by the talented Anthony ✂️

We also committed to cutting the hair of oncology patients each month ❤

40 sandwiches shared with the homeless of Montréal

Initiative of Serena, our artist, who brought 40 ham and cheese sandwiches to the homeless in Montreal.
Remember that homelessness has doubled in Montreal since the start of the pandemic, there are now more than 6,000 in the streets of Montreal.

Moreover, makeshift camps and tents have sprung up like mushrooms throughout the city, especially along Notre-Dame Street East, in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.

Since 1991, the CAP St-Barnabé's mission has been to support the population of the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district in the fight against insecurity and improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.
